Lansdowne-area schools on lockdown after reports of armed, suicidal female


UPDATE: Officials reported this incident is now over, as the female has been apprehended.

HALETHORPE, Md. (WBFF) - An armed, "suicidal" female in the Lansdowne/Halethorpe area prompted local officials to put schools on lockdown briefly Monday afternoon.

The incident was over by about 4 p.m.

Baltimore County Police confirmed that at 2:25 p.m., a female suicidal subject had a firearm on Hammonds Ferry Road at Lansdowne Road.

Several schools were told to go on "alert status," including Lansdowne Elementary, Middle and High, and Riverview Elementary School.

CSX train tracks were also closed down, said police.
