STUDENT IN CUSTODY: Loch Raven High in Baltimore locked down

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - There was a heavy police presence at Loch Raven High School in Baltimore County. Police confirm the student in question has been taken into custody, no injuries have been reported.

The school was locked down Thursday after the school resource officer received information that a student was concealing a gun in a backpack. When the SRO approached the student, the student fled into another area of the school.

The SRO lost sight of the student and the school initiated lockdown procedure. The student's identity was known.

The student was taken into custody. A pellet gun was recovered from the school property.

Parents are being told to go to a nearby church.
