Man barricades self inside apt after East Baltimore shooting, another killed in Southwest


One man is dead, another is wounded after two separate overnight shootings in Baltimore City.

The first shooting happened just after midnight in East Baltimore.

Police were called to East 20th Street near Barclay Street.

On scene, they located a 39-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and foot.

Police say, the victim was visiting a friend in the area when he was shot by a male suspect.

According to officials, the suspect then barricaded himself inside of an apartment nearby.

Swat responded and were able to arrest the suspect.

The second shooting occurred in southwest Baltimore on North Monastery near West Caton Ave.

Around 1 a.m., police found an unidentified male suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest.
