Man dies in Baltimore house fire
BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Fire officials say a weekend fire claimed the life of a Northeast Baltimore man.
The early morning fire happened Saturday in the 1300 block of Cedarcroft Rd.
Upon arrival, heavy fire and smoke was showing from the basement of a 2-story brick dwelling. During firefighter's primary search, they located and rescued the victim.
CPR was administered on scene and he was transported to an area hospital for additional treatment.
On Sunday, March 4, the victim died while at the hospital.
He has been identified at Robert Morris, 58, and the Medical Examiner’s Office determined his cause of death was due to thermal burns and smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
So far this year, there have been five fire fatalities in Baltimore City.
