BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Two men were injured in south Baltimore and north Baltimore in the middle of the day Thursday.
A 53-year-old man was shot in the back at about 12:02 p.m. in south Baltimore's Pigtown area.
The victim was shot on Cross Street near Nanticoke Street, reported city police.
The initial investigation revealed the man was walking in the block when he "heard a loud pop and realized he was shot."
He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
At 1:50 p.m. a man was found shot at Greenmount Avenue and 29th Street, in the Waverly/Barclay area.
Investigators believe he was shot on Richwood Avenue, east of Cold Spring Lane, almost two miles north.
Police couldn't immediately explain how he got to the Greenmount/29th scene, saying: "We are currently investigating the circumstances around this shooting[, i]ncluding the two locations."
The 31-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital.
