ROBBERY ATTEMPT: Man killed after resisting robbery in S Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police say a man was shot and killed outside of a South Baltimore Royal Farms during a robbery attempt.

Around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the back of the Royal Farms Store, located in the 400 block of Lawrence Street, for a shooting.

Officers found the victim, a 41 year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Police have now identified the victim, as Alexander Wroblewski. The Rowhouse Grille says the slain man is one of their employees, friends.

Police say the victim purchased milk and cookies, he paid with a 'large denomination' according to T.J. Smith from the Baltimore City Police Department.

Smith says after receiving his change, Wroblewski was followed by suspects who police believe at least one of which was also a customer in the store.

The suspects announced a robbery and showed a handgun.

Police tell FOX45 when Wroblewski resisted the robbery, he was shot.

Wroblewski was transported to Shock Trauma where he died as a result of his injuries.

City Police have released surveillance footage of persons of interest.

They say they want to talk to two men and a woman, who were at the store at the same time. The woman, and one man were caught on camera.

A silver car was also captured on surveillance footage leaving the scene.

Detectives believe the woman was driving that car.
