Man shot in 2007, dies in 2018; Medical Examiner rules death a homicide
BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police have ruled the death of a man who died in November, a homicide. Police say the victim died from injuries he suffered in a shooting 11 years ago.
On June 12, 2007, then 37 year-old Clinton Anderson was shot in the 2000 block of E. Hoffman Street.
Shooting detectives investigated this incident and ultimately arrested then 18 year-old Jamal Smith of the 1800 block of E. Federal Street, and then 26 year-old Jessie Lynch of the 1600 block of N. Wolfe Street. Smith was sentenced to life in prison while Lynch was sentenced to 20 years.
On November 10, 2018, 49 year-old Clinton Anderson died at the Overlea Health and Rehabilitation Center. His body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Officer where an autopsy was performed.
On December 12, 2018, Medical Examiner doctors ruled that Clinton Anderson died as a result of being shot in June of 2007.
