BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Police say a man was shot in an attempted robbery in the Cedmont section of northeast Baltimore on Thursday afternoon.
At about 5:37 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers were sent to the 5900 block of Belair Road to investigate a reported shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene, officers found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the body.
The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed this shooting resulted in an attempted robbery and another person is in police custody.
Northeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
