Health officials say STD’s hit record levels in Maryland
(WBFF) -- Maryland Health officials are struggling to stop the out of control number of sexually transmitted diseases.
The number of cases in Maryland rose 10% in 2017. Gonorrhea cases have increased 15%, Syphillis cases are up 12.3%, and chlamydia cases are up 9%.
“People are either engaging in higher risk behaviors or they are not getting tested,” said Dr. Scott Krugman of LifeBridge Health.
