City Council president Jack Young just released the packet yesterday.
Fitzgerald is currently serving as the police chief in Dallas Fort Worth and has been in law enforcement since 1992.
Pugh is suggesting the city make Fitzgerald the top cop in Baltimore and offer him a 5-year contract.
Under the city charter, the council has until January 28th to hold a final vote on Fitzgerald, although, they could vote earlier.
If confirmed before the end of the year, Fitzgerald would be Baltimore's 3rd top cop in 2018.
Next week some council members will be visiting the nominee in Texas and talking with people about their experiences with Fitzgerald.
