2nd person charged for gun & drugs while in car with Taylor Hayes at time of shooting

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- A second person riding inside a car that Taylor Hayes was shot in has been arrested and charged for possession of a gun & drugs.

The person driving the car that Taylor was in, Darnell Holmes was also charged for a gun and drugs found in the vehicle.

Holmes' attorney suggested that the weapon and drugs belonged to her boyfriend.

Edison is being held without bail. A preliminary hearing is set for August.

Baltimore City Police spoke to the media Friday, a day after a 7-year-old shooting victim died.

Taylor Hayes was shot in Southwest Baltimore on July 5th. She died two weeks later after undergoing several surgeries at Shock Trauma.

Friday, police asked for tips from the community.

Police say they have found the white Mercedes that was in the area of the shooting.

No arrests have been made in reference to the shooting death of Taylor Hayes.
