One dead; another injured in Southwest Baltimore shootings

BALTIMORE -- WBFF -- Baltimore Police say that they are investigating two different shootings that happened in the city in the southwest district, on Sunday.


According to authorities, at 12:55 p.m., officers responded to the 4100 block of Mountwood Road, for a report of a shooting. Once there, officers found a 24-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the head and the chest. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

At 1:11 p.m., officers received a call for a walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital. Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the elbow. The victim said that he was shot while walking in the area of Fulton Avenue and Cole Street.
