Pedestrian dies in Columbia crash

COLUMBIA, Md. (WBFF) - A pedestrian died after an accident at a busy Columbia intersection Wednesday evening.

A 57-year-old Columbia woman, Maria Erlinda Ulloa Licona, was struck by a vehicle at about 7 p.m. on Dobbin Road at McGaw Road, reported Howard County police.

The driver was Sung Jong Kim, 34, of Reisterstown, who was driving a 2011 Nissan Altima. He was not injured and remained at the scene.

Licona was not in a crosswalk or intersection at the time of the collision and was wearing dark clothing, said Howard County police.
