BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Court documents reveal the man charged in the shooting death of a Navy Midshipman's mother was a fugitive with a criminal history spanning more than a decade.
Angelo Harrod, 29, is facing multiple charges including murder in the June 29 shooting death of Michelle Cummings.

According to online court records, Harrod was arrested in 2010, 2011, 2014 and 2015.
Initial charges in these arrests ranged from assault, to drug and/or handgun possession.
Harrod managed to avoid a significant jail sentence until 2016 when court records show he pleaded guilty to a handgun charge and was sentenced to jail.
A year later the case indicates Harrod escaped, and later pleaded guilty to that misdemeanor charge.
Fast forward to 2020, Harrod was arrested on drug and trespassing charges, and released on bond, according to court documents.
Authorities issued a warrant for his arrest in another alleged incident less than a year later.
Harrod was eventually taken into custody in another case in April 2021.
According to the court documents it was these charges that landed him on the home confinement he later violated.

A spokesperson said the prosecutor recommended Harrod be held without bond, but the court released him on house arrest.
Court records show Harrod removed his ankle monitor less than two weeks after being placed on home confinement.
During those months, records show he failed to appear for a June trial date in a previous case, and according to police fired the bullet that killed Michelle Cummings on June 29.
The Annapolis Police Chief announced charges against Harrod on July 14.
It was during this press conference the Chief detailed video evidence allowed them to identify Harrod as the shooter in Mrs. Cummings' case.
Harrod is now also facing charges related to his arrest where police say he led officers on a foot pursuit.
He's now being held without bond.
