RUSH-HOUR VIOLENCE | 2 shot in a car downtown, 1 near Hopkins Hospital
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Monday's spate of violence continued, as a man and woman were shot in a car in downtown Baltimore during the evening rush hour.
Officers on patrol were approached at 6:35 p.m. by a woman who said someone shot at her car; she was not injured.
The incident happened on North Eutaw near Saratoga Street.
Shortly after, police found a 27-year-old man in a hospital who had been shot in the hand.
Investigators believe the two victims were inside a vehicle on North Eutaw Street when at least one suspect shot at them.
Also during the evening rush, a man was injured in a shooting about a block from Johns Hopkins Hospital in east Baltimore.
Officers got an alert of shots fired on Mello Court at East Monument, from the ShotSpotter system, at 5:25 p.m.
They chased possible suspects on foot and eventually stopped a vehicle with one possible suspect.
A handgun was recovered from the traffic stop.
The 23-year-old shooting victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
