BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- A heartbreaking update about a young cancer patient FOX45 profiled last year.

His mother Crystal spoke to FOX45 in September when Colin became Johns Hopkins' youngest patient to try a new FDA- approved therapy designed to kill cancer cells.

    He passed away Tuesday.

His mother shared Colin's cancer journey on facebook.

She posted the sad update Thursday saying, "I’m broken and I have no idea where to go from here ... This pain. It’s indescribable."

The family said, "Colin fought for the last two years, he was so full of life, he always had such a huge smile and brought so much joy to everyone."

A GoFundMe has been established to help provide Colin a Homegoing Service, fit for a Super Hero.
