School bus fire in Howard County causes I-95 South to shutdown

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) -- According to Howard County Fire & EMS, a college bus was on fire, and caused I-95 southbound to shut down today.

On Twitter, Howard County Fire & EMS reported that the bus fire occurred on I-95 South just before Route 100.

Fire officials say I-95 South was shut down.

They added that the fire is out and 40 passengers have been safely evacuated.

EMS evaluated several passengers for smoke inhalation.

No injuries have been reported.

The college bus was from out of state.
