Second man killed in Northeast Baltimore, ending 11 day murder free streak

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police confirm two homicides Tuesday, ending an eleven day streak without a murder.

On February 13, 2018 at approximately 9:18 p.m, Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 6100 block of Frankford Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Once at the location, officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as 56 year-old John Townes Jr, the victim lived in that block.

Tuesday afternoon a 22-year-old was shot in the 3800 block of Elmley Ave in Northeast Baltimore.

Sadik Griffin died after being shot multiple times in the chest, Griffin also lived in the same block where he was shot and later died.
