SILVER ALERT: Elderly Man, Developmentally Disabled Daughter Missing

Alex Travis

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Howard County police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing elderly man and his developmentally delayed adult daughter who were last seen driving in the Elkridge area Monday morning. A silver alert has been issued.

Alex Travis, 90, was driving with Lisa Travis, 53, to their home on Southern Avenue in Oxon Hill when he exited off I-95 south onto Route 100 eastbound around 5:15 a.m. on Monday, June 11. Alex Travis’ son reported that he was driving in front of them at the time and believed his father was taking an alternate route home. Alex Travis was driving a light blue 2009 Lincoln Town Car, MD tag 6917DA.

His son became concerned when they did not arrive home, and after extensive checks in the area did not locate the two, he contacted police. Police believe Alex Travis may have traveled into Virginia and into the Rockville area since Monday.

Police are concerned for the welfare of Alex Travis due to age-related health concerns, and Lisa Travis, who has developmental disabilities. Alex Travis may be confused and in need of medication.

Alex Travis is described as a black male, 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, with gray hair, a beard, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light blue coat, brown turtleneck, and blue jogging pants. Lisa Travis is described as a black female, 5-foot-5, 245 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown raincoat, black sweater, and blue leggings.

Anyone with information should call 911. A photo of Lisa Travis is not available at this time.
