BALTIMORE (WBFF) Baltimore Police say that suspects have been arrested after they shot a man in the arm and fired shots at officers on Saturday night.
According to Commissioner Harrison, officers saw a vehicle in the 4000 block of Cold Spring that was believed to be involved in a shooting and several recent robberies.
As officers tried to stop the vehicle, the suspects reportedly fired shots at them. Police did not fire, but they were able to capture the suspects.
Harrison says, "I would like to publicly thank and commend our officers for a job well done. Our officers continue to remain proactive and work hard to keep our communities safe. I also want to thank the citizens that came forward and provided our officers with key information to apprehend these violent offenders and take them off the streets.
Our department continues to receive tips from the community and we know that as we continue to work together, we will reduce crime in our city."
The Baltimore City FOP tweeted earlier Sunday that one of their Sergeants found himself in the middle of a gun battle. "He pursued the suspects while shots were still being fired. Other B.P.D. officers from the N.W.D. (Northwest Police District) responded and the suspects were apprehended.
Great work by the brave officers of the B.P.D. who continue to risk their lives with little support from the City administration (to include the B.P.D. Command and City Hall.)"
