Two Injured in Overnight Shootings

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police say a woman was shot on Northern Parkway and a man was shot during a robbery attempt overnight.

On January 9, 2019 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 3900 block of West Northern Parkway for a report of a shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 21 year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

An hour later, two minutes after midnight, Southwest District officers were called to the 500 block of South Smallwood Avenue for a report of a shooting.

On scene, they found a 30 year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of the neck.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in the 500 block of South Smallwood Street when he was approached by an unidentified male suspect armed with a gun. The suspect announced a robbery and shot at the victim when the victim attempted to flee the location.

He was taken to an area hospital where he is also listed in stable condition.
