BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Family and friends are remembering Sebastian Dvorak.
The popular Baltimore bartender was murdered one year ago in Canton as he walked home from celebrating his 27th birthday.
“This doesn’t make sense. Sebastian was too good of a guy for this to happen,” said Greg Wohlfort.
Close to 100 people gathered in Canton Square to light candles, sing and share memories of Sebastian.
His friends spoke. So did his father, who said the family’s faith is what’s gotten them through this last year.
Dvorak was murdered on Boston Street. His killers still haven’t been caught.
Wednesday before the vigil, his father said they went and prayed at the spot where Sebastian was killed. He says he also prays for the people who killed his son.
“This is difficult, but I do it every day, to pray for the perpetrators: that they too will have their hearts open to the mercy and grace of God,” David Dvorak said.
Police still haven’t caught Sebastian’s killers.
They released surveillance video last year of persons of interest and are still asking for tips in the case.
Meanhwile Sebastian’s loves ones have started a charity in his memory called SebassFoundation.org.
His father said they raised over $25,000 the past year.
