VID | Puppy stolen from SW Baltimore home

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - A southwest Baltimore family is asking for help in getting their stolen dog back.

Video surveillance caught a young man entering their home and running off with their golden retriever puppy.

“It all happened so fast,” said Ritu Passi, one of the dog’s owners.

Ritu and her husband Rajiv were thinking about selling their dog, Leo. He was too much of a handful.

A young man, who never gave his name, answered their Craigslist ad.

He offered the couple a check for $800.

The check looked fake, said Rajiv.

The man agreed to follow Rajiv to the bank to get cash. On their way to the bank, the man stopped following Rajiv in his car.

Apparently, he turned back towards the Passi’s home.

Video surveillance shows the man running into the home, snatching the dog, and running back to his black sedan before driving away.

Rajiv says he traced the man’s cell phone number back to a Westminster residence. Police are investigating. If you have any information, you are asked to contact police.
