BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Baltimore police are looking for a car that fled the scene after fatally striking a 72-year-old pedestrian in northeast Baltimore's Clifton area Tuesday morning.

At about 5:14 a.m., officers responded to an accident on Belair Road near Elmley Avenue.

They found Doris Ann Blackmon suffering from multiple injuries. She was taken to an area hospital, where he died.

The preliminary investigation shows she was crossing the street when she was struck by an SUV. Surveillance shows it to be a Honda Passport that is believed to have sustained damage in the crash.

It's the second hit-and-run of a pedestrian in recent days in Baltimore. A 64-year-old man was also critically injured in southeast Baltimore Sunday evening, and that vehicle also remains at large.
