Woman dies in wrong-way crash on 695
TOWSON, Md. (WBFF) - One person has died after a major crash on I-695 from a driver going the wrong way early Friday morning, reported Maryland State Police.
The driver, identified only as a man from Maryland, will be charged in the incident, which ended with a crash at about 2:45 a.m. on the highway near Loch Raven Boulevard.
The victim is a woman who is from out of the country. She is not being identified yet because police are still trying to inform her family.
Police said they don't know exactly where the car started traveling the wrong way.
No factors have been ruled out, including alcohol use.
The victim was a passenger in the car - an SUV - that was struck. The SUV was struck head-on and overturned.
The driver of the at-fault car, as well as the driver and two passengers in the other car, were all taken by ambulance to Sinai Hospital, said State Police.
