Severn woman's death ruled homicide after house fire
SEVERN, Md. (WBFF)-- The cause of death for a woman whose body was found in a home on fire has been ruled a homicide, police say.
The woman, identified as Diana Lynn Knight, 52, of Severn was found on the floor of the residence after the fire was placed under control. Officials say Knight sustained some type of trauma to the upper body.
Officials also say they believe that this was not a random act, but a targeted incident.
The office of the Chief Medical Examiner is working to determine the cause of death and a positive identification for the second body found in the home a day later.
