WASHINGTON (WJLA) -- Say cheese! National Cheeseburger Day is Sept. 18, which means tons of restaurants are handing out free or discounted cheeseburgers to customers. From burger chains such as: Wendy’s, Ruby Tuesday, McDonald's and even IHOP -- all offering deals in honor of the cheesy holiday.
Here are a list of a few national chains celebrating the holiday and what additional deals you can devour with your purchase:
Wendy’s is extending its National Cheeseburger Day 2018 celebration with a month long deal. Customers with the Wendy’s mobile app can get a free Dave’s Single cheeseburger every remaining day in September, with the purchase of any other item ordered, via the app.
All guests who visit a participating Red Robin restaurant on Sept. 18 can enjoy a signature Gourmet Cheeseburger and Bottomless Steak Fries for just $5, with any beverage purchase.
IHOP (or IHOB, from its brief name change) is giving away a free side of buttermilk pancakes or limited-time pumpkin spice pancakes with the purchase any IHOP Ultimate Steakburger. The offer, which is good only on Sept. 18 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at participating restaurants, also includes an additional side item, such as fries, onion rings and hash browns.
Sonic is offering its Carhop Classic for $2.99. This deal includes a quarter pound double cheeseburger with medium tater tots or a Classic Sonic Signature Slinger with medium tots.
On Sept. 18 and 19, Ruby Tuesday So Connected members can get a free burger with the purchase of an entrée. Visit their website to sign up if you aren’t already a member!
