Passengers moved off plane with smoking cockpit at Reagan National Airport, officials say
Passengers were taken off a United Express Jet at Reagan National Airport after its cockpit started smoking Sunday, according to authorities.
Metropolitan Media Relations says that airport police and fire crews responded to the scene and that no one was injured. Airport authorities say United flight 6122 was taxiing to leave for Houston when the smoke was reported and passengers and crew evacuated.
The airport is now operating normally and passengers were moved to a different plane, officials say. The plane is being checked.
