WASHINGTON (Circa) - A new video shows the metal doors automatically close in the South Side Flats building where a Dallas police officer shot and killed her black neighbor, according to a new Daily Mail report.

According to the report, Officer Amber Guyger had stated in her affidavit that the door to his apartment was ajar. She then claimed that he did not respond to verbal commands, she then entered the residence and shot Botham Jean.

The video obtained by the Daily Mail with the help of a neighbor living on the same floor shows the heavy metal fire door shuts on its own.

The Daily Mail report also shows that the door lock for the key to each residence is electric. If the wrong key is entered, then a red light will flash.

The video also shows that for the door to be ajar, it would have to be held open with a door stopper.

Guyger stated in police documents that she mistakenly arrived outside the residence because she parked on the fourth-floor parking lot rather than the third. She then claimed when she went to open the door assuming the residence was her home.
