Howard County Schools is cutting bus service to about 3,500 students, citing{ }critical driver shortages and a change in school start times.

{p}Howard County Schools will pay $27 million to Zum, an electric bus company that markets itself as the first and only 100% carbon neutral bus company in America.{/p}

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball says he gave Howard County Schools record funding this year.
