Hundley's Impressive Run at Goucher College Comes to an End in IHSA National Championships

TOWSON, Md. (WBFF)--- Cary Hundley (Ellicott City) wrapped up her career at Goucher College with the Equestrian program in fitting fashion. Hundley was the only student-athlete from Goucher to compete at this season's IHSA National Championships. She finished eighth overall out of 24 high point riders competing in multiple phases for multiple days.

Her Flat Phase performance was historic for Goucher's program. Hundley won the phase with a final score of 87. She became the first Goucher rider in program history to take a phase during the Cacchione Cup during the IHSA National Championships.

Hundley has competed at the national championships every season since her sophomore year. As a sophomore she placed eighth. Hundley's best phase performance was fourth until her first place finish last weekend.

The senior still plans to compete past the collegiate level. The biology major also plans to apply to veterinarian school to combine her love for horses and science.
