COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WBFF)--- The University of Maryland introduced its 37th head football coach on Thursday afternoon, Michael Locksley. Locksley has 20-years of coaching experience with half of that in College Park as an assistant coach in two different stints. Locksley is currently Alabama's offensive coordinator and will coach the Crimson Tide's offense in the College Football Playoff.

Locksley calls his hire at Maryland, "A dream come true to come home."

Locksley is a Washington, D.C. native and he played college football at Towson in Baltimore County. He was Maryland's interim head coach in 2015 when Randy Edsall was fired. The Terps hired D.J. Durkin in December of 2015 instead of Locksley.
