7-year-old boy started 'Give Back Veterans Project'

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Don't let his size fool you. At just 7 years old, he's already making a big difference in the lives of veterans across the Baltimore area.

This week's Pay It Forward winner is Tyler Stallings.

He started the "Give Back Veterans Project" at the sophisticated age of 4 years old.

His mother said: "He wanted us to build houses. I said, 'Tyler, I'd love to but we can't afford that.'"

So building backpacks was the next solution.

"It's very important to help those people, not only to make them happy [but] to make them feel like, 'People do care about me,'" explained Tyler.

Tyler, with his mom's help, has packed and delivered more than 1,000 filled backpacks to veterans.

From a family of service members, Tyler said his goal is to make each veteran feels appreciated.
