Jasmine Lomax

Meteorologist

Jasmine joined the FOX45 Weather team in August 2021, and she is thrilled to be back home!

Jasmine comes to Baltimore from WVLA and WGMB in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It is there where Jasmine covered a wide range of severe weather.

In 2020, Jasmine covered the Easter tornado outbreak that wreaked havoc across northern Louisiana and southern Mississippi. She also covered the record-breaking hurricane season where five storms made landfall in Louisiana. Three of those storms were hurricanes. In February 2021, Jasmine covered the ice storm that left many Louisianians without power.

Prior to working in Baton Rouge, Jasmine interned with EarthShare, an environmental federation based in Bethesda. Through her internship, she was able to visit various government agencies to speak about climate change and what EarthShare does to help the environment.

Jasmine is a proud alumna of The Pennsylvania State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in meteorology and a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism. She also minored in Spanish.

Jasmine was born and raised in Maryland, and she is so happy to be closer to her family.

A self-proclaimed foodie, Jasmine loves exploring the many food options across Maryland. She also loves spending time with her 3.5-pound teacup Yorkie, Caramel.

You can watch Jasmine on Friday and Saturday evenings and on weekday mornings as a Hometown Hot Spot reporter.
