Taylor Stewart is a people-first journalist with a passion for telling stories that highlight injustice, inspire change, and connect people. She joined Fox45 in September of 2022 as the Weekend Morning Anchor. You can also catch her anchoring and reporting on Fox 45 Morning News throughout the week.
Born and raised minutes away from the nation's capital, Taylor is excited to be back in her home state and closer to family. She comes to Baltimore from Miami, where she covered breaking news as a general assignment reporter for South Florida's news leader, WSVN.
Before that, Taylor was a morning reporter and fill-in anchor at WLOS in Asheville, North Carolina. Her on-air career began in Chattanooga, Tennessee at WTVC, where Taylor hit the ground running as a one-woman band – shooting, editing, and presenting stories on air. There, she earned two Associated Press awards for her reporting on police use-of-force policies, particularly the use of chokeholds.
Taylor's love for journalism began behind the scenes as a production assistant for NBC at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and as an intern for Dateline NBC in New York. In college, Taylor split her time between class and internships at WSB-TV and CNN in Atlanta.
The proud Spelman College alumna has a degree in Psychology with a concentration in neuroscience.
Taylor loves mentoring young girls and is excited to build a community here in Baltimore. When Taylor is not reporting, she is likely catching a live concert, exploring the city, or working out.
