BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) - Winter weather on the way!

A winter weather advisory is now posted from 7PM Sunday through 10AM Monday due to the potential for accumulating snow, sleet, and freezing rain. A winter storm watch is in effect for Frederick, Carroll and Baltimore County from Monday afternoon until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Sunday night through early Monday we'll start with a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. It looks like we'll see a brief lull in the activity late Monday morning before snow and sleet picks back up Monday afternoon and evening. 3-4" of snow is expected across Carroll, Northern Baltimore, and Harford counties with 2-3" in the Baltimore area, and under 1" south of the city.

As milder air pushes in, the winter mix should change over to all rain by Tuesday with highs in the low 40s.
